Store Bought
My hair has been dyed with store bought products, what is the proper procedure to go back to my natural color and then add highlights without turning my hair green or dulling it tremendously? People have told me about "fillers"...what exactly are they?

I would need to know specifically what is your natural color and what your hair is now, but yes you can tint back to your natural color and then add highlights without turning it green or dull.

A filler is a product that replaces missing primary pigment from the hair. For example, if your natural hair color is brown and you color it light blonde, you have removed all the yellow, red and copper out of the hair. When you try to tint back you have to replace some of this or maybe all of the missing pigments using "fillers". The trick here is to use the correct amounts of missing pigment so you don't go over board.
