How to get to Hoboken

Public Transportation:

  • The PATH runs along 6th Avenue in Manhattan and stops at 33rd, 23rd, 14th, 9th & Christopher St. to Hoboken. You may also take the PATH from Jersey City, Newark, Harrison, with a few train changes. Click here for PATH Map.
  • NJ Transit
  • NY Waterways Ferry

Driving Directions
From the Turnpike: Take exit 14C toward Holland Tunnel. With the Holland in front of you at the last light make a left. Go to end of road and make a right onto Observer Highway. Follow road to end (PATH station) and make a left onto Washington Road.

From the Route 3: Without going into too much detail, you want to get on 495E heading to the Lincoln Tunnel, and follow the signs to Hoboken. You'll end up at 14th St.

From 280: Take 280E until the "Last Exit Before Toll" which puts you on County Route 514 which will merge with 7. You'll pass Fish House Road, then over a drawbridge over the Hackensack River. Then you'll hit a messy little traffic circle (you can't see the whole circle) where you want to dodge all the cars and veer to the left, then take an immediate right past the school bus depot. You're on Truck Route 1 & 9. Stay in the right lanes for the Holland Tunnel, through 2 quick lights, into an almost blind double merge, and you'll end up in the covered roadway.

If you are driving in, allow at least a half hour to find parking or an additional $10-$25 for a parking garage.
